THE TITANIC 100 TH ANNIVERSARY IS SOON COMING UPON US ,
There were 2228 people on board of The Titanic, 337 in first class, 285 second class, 721 in third class and 885 crew members. Crew members and designers who had worked on The Titanic since the idea of the ship was first conceived were also among the many souls who perished when the ship sank.Question most often asked is how many survived The Titanic? Of the 2,228 passengers and crew members who set sail on The Titanic only 705 Titanic passengers survived. The Titanic carried 20 lifeboats There were not enough lifeboats on board to hold all the passengers and crew, enough for 1178 people. The Titanic also carried 3500 lifebelts and 48 life rings. It is believed that the majority of passengers that went into the sea did not drown, but froze to death.REMEMBER THOSE WHO PERISHED ON THAT FAITHFUL NIGHT
